Public Works Maintenance Worker
Under general supervision, performs unskilled and semi-skilled building maintenance, repair, and construction work on streets, sewers, parks, and other public works facilities; performs a variety of semi-skilled and heavy physical labor. This is an entry and first working level job in the Public Works Department. Successful applicants will be provided training in the more difficult maintenance, repair, and construction assignments, learn basic equipment operation skills; and perform other job-related work as required and assigned. They will also learn basic equipment operation.

Temporary/Part-time Public Works Landscape and Maintenance Worker
The ideal candidate should have basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and landscape maintenance, as well as an understanding of safe work practices. This position requires the ability to perform heavy physical labor, use tools and equipment effectively, and learn to operate motorized equipment. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions and work cooperatively with others are essential. Candidates with experience in custodial work, grounds keeping, or other physically demanding roles are highly desirable. Any combination of training and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge will be considered.

Commission Member
The City of Corning is seeking applicants to serve as Commissioners on the Planning, Recreation, Airport and Library Commissions. Each of these Commissions consist of five members, a Chairperson and four Commissioners. This is a volunteer position with no compensation provided. The meeting dates and times are as follows:
- Planning Commission: Third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m.

July and October at 6:30 p.m.
