PROCLAMATIONS, RECOGNITIONS, APPOINTMENTS, PRESENTATIONS:

  • Proclamation: National Public Works Week May 18 through May 24, 2025. Present to accept the Proclamation is Public Works Director Eli Stanley.

PUBLIC COMMENTS AND BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR: If there is anyone in the audience wishing to speak on items not already set on the agenda, please come to the podium, and briefly identify the matter. To ensure that all members of the public have an equal opportunity to address the City Council, public comments during the designated comment period will be limited to three (3) minutes per speaker. Council will then determine if such matter will be placed on the agenda for this meeting, scheduled for a subsequent meeting, or recommend other appropriate action.

CONSENT AGENDA: It is recommended that items listed on the Consent Agenda be acted on simultaneously unless a Councilmember or members of the audience request separate discussion and/or action.

  1. Waive reading, except by title, of any Ordinance under consideration at this meeting for either introduction or passage, per Government Code Section 36934.
  2. Waive the reading and approve the Minutes of April 22, 2025, regular and closed session City Council meeting with any necessary corrections.
  3. May 7, 2025, Claim Warrant in the amount of $ 400,595.32
  4. May 7, 2025, Business License Report
  5. April 2025 Treasurer’s Report
  6. April 2025 Wages & Salaries: $456,58.33
  7. April 2025 Building Permit Valuation Report in the amount of $446,609
  8. March 2025 City of Corning Wastewater Operations Summary Report.
  9. Adopt Resolution No. 05-13-2025-01 a Resolution adopting the required Cal OES City designation of applicant’s agent for non-state agencies.
  10. Consider dissolving the Tuesday Night Market Ad-Hoc Committee
  11. Authorize Public Works to declare equipment surplus and dispose of the items in the best interest of the city.

PUBLIC HEARINGS AND MEETINGS:

REGULAR AGENDA:

  1. Approve recommendation by the City Library Commission to utilize the remaining balance of the City Ridell Trust Fund to aid in the purchase of shelving.
  2. Informational presentation and direction from Council regarding PG&E utility relocation for the City Recreation Center and Community Plaza Project.
  3. Presentation and provide direction on proposed funding allocations, prioritize projects for inclusion of the fiscal year 2025/26 budget and approve fiscal year 2025/26 capital improvement priorities.
