PROCLAMATIONS, RECOGNITIONS, APPOINTMENTS, PRESENTATIONS:

  1. Proclamation: Child Abuse Prevention Month. Present to accept the Proclamation will be Holly Rhoads, Program Manager for Early Learning Programs and Services.
  2. Proclamation: Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Present to accept the Proclamation will be Susana Reyes, Empower Tehama Bilingual Legal Advocate.

PUBLIC COMMENTS AND BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR: If there is anyone in the audience wishing to speak on items not already set on the agenda, please come to the podium, and briefly identify the matter. To ensure that all members of the public have an equal opportunity to address the City Council, public comments during the designated comment period will be limited to three (3) minutes per speaker. Council will then determine if such matter will be placed on the agenda for this meeting, scheduled for a subsequent meeting, or recommend other appropriate action.

CONSENT AGENDA: It is recommended that items listed on the Consent Agenda be acted on simultaneously unless a Councilmember or members of the audience request separate discussion and/or action.

  1. Waive reading, except by title, of any Ordinance under consideration at this meeting for either introduction or passage, per Government Code Section 36934.
  2. Waive the reading and approve the Minutes of March 25, 2025, regular and closed session City Council meeting with any necessary corrections.
  3. April 2, 2025, Claim Warrant in the amount of $ 131,535.93
  4. April 2, 2025, Business License Report
  5. March 2025 Treasurer’s Report
  6. March 2025 Wages & Salaries: $464,602.57
  7. March 2025 Building Permit Valuation Report in the amount of $386,784
  8. March 2025 City of Corning Wastewater Operations Summary Report.

REGULAR AGENDA:

  1. Approve appointment of Vickie Linnet to fill one of the two vacancies on the city’s Library Commission and withdraw Sandy Sehorn’s resignation letter.
  2. Award bid for the Tehama Street Rehabilitation Project to VSS International in the amount of $453,211
  3. Adopt Resolution No. 04-08-2025-01 a Resolution finding that the issuance of a liquor license to The Vault located at 1124 Solano St. is a “public convenience or necessity”
  4. Accept the Notice of Completion and authorize release of retention funds to Four Seasons Roofing for the Transportation Center Roof Project.
  5. Approve Task Order No. 8 under Engineering Contract 208-07 for the 2024/2025 street projects on Toomes & Loleta Ave. in the amount of $44,194 to Northstar Engineering for City Engineer/Surveyor Services
