BUILDING DEPARTMENT:
This week, the Building Division processed three new permit applications for residential solar installations. The division completed twelve inspections. Among the finalized projects were a residential and commercial roof replacements.
Safety Spotlight: Clear paths save lives- In an emergency, every second counts. Egress routes, like hallways, stairwells, and exit doors must remain unobstructed, well lit, and clearly marked at all times. Even something as small as a chair, storage box, or locked exit door can slow evacuation and create hazard during a fire or other emergency. Regular inspections ensure exits are accessible and that illuminated exit signs and emergency lighting function properly.
