Youth Recreation and Enrichment Program
Welcome to the City of Corning Youth Recreation and Enrichment program. The Corning Recreation program came to fruition with the help of a Promise Neighborhood Grant, administered by the Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians, which has allowed the City of Corning develop a recreation program for the youth of our community. The mission of the Corning Recreation and Youth Enrichment program is to provide fun and mentally stimulating recreation opportunities to the Corning community in a coordinated cost effective manner.
Typically, the recreation program runs four sessions a year: Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall with some in between classes. Classes are offered to youth ages 1 to 18. We offer a variety of classes such as, Dance, Tumbling, Gymnastics, Fitness, Art, Crafts, Taekwondo, and Gaming Programming. Other special classes held are Baking, Sports and drills, Robotics, Reading, Photography, and Mommy & me paint nights. Corning recreation is always striving to introduce new programs.
Corning Recreation also offers a High School Leadership Program for students in need of Community Service Hours. Students can earn hours by volunteering in one of our classes and assisting the instructor. To sign up for the High School Leadership Program email firstname.lastname@example.org.
