being a Police Officer is a little like being
in the military, with some very important differences.
You won't be sent to far off lands, you won't
be separated from your friends and family, but
you'll be able to get to know the people you're
protecting. You will never work the same
day twice.
You will have to pass a background check, a polygraph
examination, various board interviews, and a written
test. You'll also have to graduate from
a POST
Certified Academy, such as Butte
College, Yuba
College or Shasta
